I am new to Visual Foxpro and Speech Recognition and looking for help in using Visual Foxpro and Microsoft Spech SDK to covert a wav file to text.

Are there any examples out there that I could look at?
Any direction will be helpfully.

Thanks

All of the examples are in C or VB that I know of.

I'm currently specing an app using the Speech SDK,
but I won't have any thing to show for quite a while.

Matter of fact, the app will be in C, so I don't know
if that'll be of much help.

P.S. I just took a look at the Speech 5.1 SDK.

There are a number of structures that require
pointers which will negate the use of VFP in
many instances. I'm unfamiliar with the capabilities
of VFP 8, so I can't tell if it would be any easier.

I think you may have to encapulate a lot of the
speech API's functionality by creating classes
in C and them instancing them in VFP, but I
don't know enough about it yet.

If the Speech SDK is what I think it is, there was an article in Foxpro Advisor on using it last year sometime, but I cannot remember if it covered Speech Recognition.

It was in the November 2001 issue of "FoxPro Advisor", entitled "Speech Recognition is Back!".

It is refering to Speech SDK 5.1 and it does cover speech recognition (obviously, from the title!!).
