Has anyone ran across this message hanging on the phones? I am trying to install an e340 and i640. Both phones come up after initialization and boot to please enter PIN. after putting in the DN and pressing send the phones just sit at Registering to PBX. The phones are connecting to an MXe running 8.0.9.20. didnt get a good answer from support so I thought I woudl ask here.

Did you enter the set registration code (usually ***) before entering the DN, the code can be found in the system options form, so to register say extn 1000 you would enter ***1000 then press the send key.
Also check that the DN is definately programmed on the system & isn't already being used.

its always ID10T isnt it. that was acutally it. My other "gotcha" with these phones was the "ESS ID". It took me over an hour to figure out that ESS ID must be canadian for SSID. all up and working now...thanks

Glad you got it working. I think ESSID like BSSID is a subset or something of SSID. The more common term used when you are setting up a home router.
