Where do you specifiy your ODBC connection? I am looking at an Access DB that someone else wrote and there are several queries (no tables) that connect to a remote SQLS7... I just don't know how they connect. When I try to open the queries, it tells me "ODBC -- connection to 'egodbcname' failed" -- so I know that it is looking for the ODBC connection string (I don't yet have it on my computer -- I'll put it there when i figure out how Access knows which one to look for). Can someone who is more familiar with Access tell me where one would find this information in the mdb?

Try going into the design view of the linked table in Access. Then right click anywhere where your fields are listed and choose properties from the menu. You should be able to get some information about the link.
