I have a request to provide a windows pop-up to allow the user to specify the desired directory path (but not a file name) where the user wishes to save a file. The user will fill in the file name on the form, but desires to have a tool for specifiying the path to insure that the user gets it correctly.
Is there any such utility already available?
This is in a 6i form running on either 8i or 9i instance.

Is this form running client/server or on the web? If client/server, D2KWUTIL has a utility that will pop up the standard Windows file selection box. Is there any reason why that can't be used to select the file?

Once the location and file name have been selected in the pop-up window, separate the path and file from the returned string and copy to their respective items in the form.
