It would be greatly appreciated if someone can help me out with this VPN problem that I'm having. I configured an ipsec, Cisco router to router VPN between private networks that utilize pre-shared keys and NAT overload.
The remote W2K pro client is able to logon to the domain at the main HQ site and browse the network via the WINS server. Both sides can see each other on the network. The problem I'm having is transferring a large file from a host on the HQ LAN to the remote client. Small text files can transfer with no problems however bigger file sizes (>2 MB) are unsuccessful and I get the error message "The specified network name is no longer available". What is really weird is I can transfer a large file from the remote client to a client on the HQ LAN with no problems.
Could my problem be remedied if I install a WINS server on the remote LAN and then have the two servers replicate their entries or is something else going on here?
I could provide more detailed info of the setup if needed.

Thanks for any help you can send my way,
Rick V

I'm having the same issue and it's not VPN related, it's NAT overload related. Did you ever find an answer?
