Hi, Using Excel 2000.

I have a worksheet that is linked to another worksheet in another workbook. I would like to be able to copy the data in the workbook without the links to the other worksheet for backup purposes. I need to keep the formats though. In otherwords I need to copy everything except for the formulas. Can anybody help please?

Thx

The past special has several options, if you select all except
formulas and
all except borders
it should do the trick.

If not then do the paste twice.
first do a normall copy
secon do a paste special -> values

Hi,

If you format the destination sheet the same as your source sheet (Format Painter will be easiest), then do copy from the source sheet and Paste Special > Values in the destination sheet, the formats will be preserved.

Hope this helps.
