My Customer want an account for an helpdesk-user. This user want to log in the MSS1 by using the internet explorer and he only should be able to unlock or lock the mailbox in the menu “edit / subscriber” and the rest of it should be inaktiv.

i know the user "vm". He also can handle only the subscriber but he also can change the name or extension.

but the user i'm looking for shoud only be able to lock or unlock the mailbox.

Maybe you could pay Avaya to create a new logon to just be able to lock or unlock a mailbox, but as far as I know there is no way to restrict this.

Maybe another possibility is to use Mailbox Manager and create a new logon and try different "permissions" to see if you can restrict access in this way???

My question would be why is there so many being locked out ? Sounds like they need to review the COS settings on the System What are they using for a message store ?

Unimax offers an add-on to Mailbox Manager that they call their Help Desk feature. It will give you a web-based access to the system and limit the Help Desk person to lock/unlock and password reset. I don't remember the price exactly, though it was higher than we were willing to pay. Definitely cheaper than asking Avaya to custom develop though.

thank you folks for the good ideas
finaly i've done the account by the mailbox manager.
there i can set four permissions (display, create, modify and delete).
with these choices my customer is happy :)
