I have a customer that is using Tableservice in a sandwich shop. What he wants to do is have a three digit number on the ticket so they can call it out when the sandy is done.

I believe the only way to do this is to us the "tab" function and type the "special" information that will show up on the chit/receipt.

Is this true or is there another way?

Thanks for any help.

You could have the system auto assign check numbers but I would use names. As a customer I would rather hear hey Bob that have to listen for some impersonal number...

Not sure if this helps but we use TS. All our to go orders start at 100 and go up by 1. So if kitchen sees 126 they know it's a to go. So the kitchen chit says 126. The check says 126. But as Posrescue said we refer to the customer by name. So we would write "Jones" on the check that says 126.

Seems to me that covers the bases.

BTW We have order pads that we sometimes first hand write the order. The pads sequence to the 100+ table numbers that we then assign in aloha.
