I have a report of a list of part numbers. The report is about 200 pages long. It is for inventory counting. To make it easier for the person writing and finding the data in the pages, I would like to show the first and last part number on each page.(not unlike a dictionary i.e. A - ardvark,ardvark-apple.....)
The last part number on the page is easy to get, I just tell it to print the part number in the footer, and it automatically prints the last one on the page. So how do I get the first part number on the page?

in the page footer put 2 text boxes the first for partfrom the second for partto
in the page header format event put this code
me.partfrom=me!partname and for the partto do as you said

thank you much

works very nicely

did a couple of extra steps to put it all in one box

but that got me started.

did not feel like thinking today at all.
