I am trying to figure out a way to provide a special events information only announcement via the AA and a DID. I can set up an INFO MB and then route the calls to that MB lets say MB 2345 via the AA lets say selector code 8 and that will work ok. Now I need to have callers dial a DID number that will play the same announcement lets say dialing 555-2345. On this MICS system that DID is LINE 202. When the call is done it can DISCON the caller.

I am having trouble getting this to work.

"A phone is a phone and not a computer workstation".

I am sorry but I dont follow you. I do not know where a Message Line box is located. Is this part of the DN or the TL or the MB or the AA?

Do I create an INOF MB or a SUBSCRIBER MB

The TL is 202.

Thank you

If I may add a few more words…

Express Messaging Line is a feature available on subscriber mailboxes in CallPilot. It allows to do exactly what you want, which is to have a line (or a target line) routed to a specific mailbox. When you create the subscriber mailbox, there is a setting "Msg line" to assign a line number.

Then, you can record an alternate greeting and choose not to accept messages.

this is an NAM 4.1. I'm sorry I forgot to mention this

"A phone is a phone and not a computer workstation".

On NVM, the Express Messaging Line feature doesn't exist.

Instead, you can pick an unused set, assign it the target line and forward it to voicemail.

The rest is the same: you create a subscriber mailbox for the unused set. Then, you record an alternate greeting and choose not to accept messages.

thanks for the help. I have remote access so I'll try it when I get back to the office tonight.
