I have Crystal Reports 8.0 installed on my PC as well as my own personal web server running. Is this enough to create and run Crystal Reports on my PC, or do I need purchase special software for this?

Also, I don't know the syntax for creating and running Crystal reports in ASP - anyone have some sample code?

CORRECTION - run Crystal reports in a WEB ENVIRONMENT instead of my PC. I already can run them from a PC - sorry about that.

Hi,

with Crystal Reports Pro 8.0 you get the Web Component Server. I think it needs IIS (4 or up) to run.

Installation is easy. After you've installed it you can place your .RPT files into the inetpub\ dir and just call them from within your browser. It is also possible to add parameters to the url.

The Crystal Support site has got info on this. Just search for 'Web Component Server'.
