I don't use the Mac much so excuse my apparent ignorance, but I'm simply trying to insert a multiplication sign in Quark 6 on the Mac and can't figure how to do so!!
I've found various things on the web and from what I see there is no way to get the multiplication sign that is present in every font. Another thing I found is that OPTOIN+E inserts an acute accent, which in the Symbol font is a times sign.
In Word I can hit OPTION+E and change it to the Symbol font to get a times sign. In Quark 6, however, OPTION+E doesn't insert the acute accent. When I copy and paste the character from Word into Quark I get a center dot when the Symbol font is applied!
Many thanks for any tips.
Yours in total Quarking frustration,
Ken
