i can hear no sound from my speakers i have no idea what is the problem they was working fine then they jst stoppeed..

HI chiknfrmr, the first thing you need to check is your speaker connections, volume controls, now I don't know if they're desktop or monitor mounted but in my experience monitor mounted speakers are not very reliable. If swapping to a pair of desktop does'nt work, turn the power off of your computer (take power cord out of pc after shutting down). I don't know your experience in techinal matters such as replacing different components, (but if you don't have expertise in this field please get an experienced to do help). Check the pci slot or isa slot your sound card is in for looseness. Secondly check audio cable from cd rom drive to your motherboard make sure it's properly in place. If this does'nt work change sound card to different pci or isa slot, if all fails buy a new sound card and surge protector. APOSTLE

make sure you have not knocked the mute button on your keyboard or accidentaly turned a media program in windows down to 0 as this may affect all others.
