hello. I am having a problem with all of my 4400 series phone that when you make a call with the speakerphone and the other party disconnects the speakerphone stays connected. This is causing a problem where the next imcoming call comes in on another line and the user must select the line to answer the call. How quick should the speakerphone be disconnecting. This happenes on both internal and external calls

Thanks

Will

That's a common problem with these series of phones.they have a prolem with the hookswitch. You have to either send it for repair,or if you can open it and readjust (mechanicaly) the position of the hookswitch.

Good Luck.

thanks for your response. What am I looking for to repair is ther a spring or something

Thanks

Will

You have to stretch the inside spring a little bit to allow a higher hookswitch (Not too much just a little bit).
Just make sure you put everything in order,I don't want to get blamed for a broken phone lol.

Good Luck.

If your not manualy hitting your speaker button when the call is completed, the set will remain active until the the switch receives a disconnect from the C.O. or the set itself times out.
