does anyone know if they have an external speaker that can be pluged into the aux jack of an 18D phone to produce louder sound when using speaker phone

You could use a Polycom analog conference phone that way. Plug it in lke you said. Use the system phone for normal use and when you want to use the speaker phone, turn on the Polycom and hang up the system phone.Expensive but works well for someone who uses speakerphone all the time.

actually for me im just trying to find a way to connect a loud speaker for paging in the back rooms but i dont want to buy a 400$ paging system so i figured i could just hooh up some speakers but its not looking to positive sofar but thanks

We have often connected an amplified speaker (i.e. Valcom) to the speaker of the telephone. However, it tends to mess with the vox operation of the speakerphone.

Ive used the viking m2w 2 watt amp with a horn , just it into the phones speaker

only issue is speakerphone dies for that extension as all speakerphone functions are now amplified

Get a self amplified speaker and use the page port. I can't see it being more than $100.00.

No, but it is only one pair from the Page Port on the Partner to get to the Horn - forget making the phone louder, just page the person through the external paging, and ask them to call you back at your own extension.

Self amplified speaker is the cheap way to go. Connect tp external paging as TTT SAID.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

TTT that looks like the only decent option i have. and they are just going to have to deal with it here untill they fork up some money. only being here for about 3 month i haven seen it all but it seems to me that the boss wants to look more "technical" and professional since we are a systems maintenance company for servers.....
