Speaker phone not op one port, ticking sounds, Vertical Summit 80

This is a first for me. The customer has been complaining about this phone making ticking sounds. After switching wiring pairs, testing with a new VU9208 phone, and testing the phone at the switch/KSU port, I realized something is odd about the port. The speaker phone will not operate. Testing the same phone on any adjacent port is fine.

It feels like the 4-Ticks sounds are related to speaker phone fail. No free ports on this system. Why would the speaker phone feature not operate on a single port. I compared the configuration to working ports, nothing obvious different.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

After re-initializing this particular port the problem cleared.
