I have just updated to Win XP HE and applied the new Conexant HSF Modem driver. All is fine except the speaker seems to be on permanantly even when connected - what a noise! I have disabled the speaker and put an 'M0' code in the settings but to no avail.

HELP!!!!

Thanks

Hi.. I have found the driver you are looking for.. The driver works with the Conexant Soft56K modems but it is not "named" after that. So, after the driver is loaded, your modem will be renamed as Acorp IRW V.92 modem but the connection speed will increase firstly..

The driver should be selected manually at all steps otherwise WinXP loads its famous BEST DATA FAX MODEM driver instead of this one..

Have a "silent" and nice day folks.. :)
