So we have a ongoing issue and I'm hoping that some of you may be able to shed some light on what is (or isn't going on). We have a CS1000 at our main location with T1's to our remote option 11 locations. 6 of the locations are on fiber and the rest are off the DS3. The sites off the DS 3 are working flawless and always have. The sites on the fiber were also flawless until about a month ago when they just would drop sporadically. And when they drop, all 6 drop. So we are coming out of the CS1000 to a IP MUX 216 that then connects to a Cisco Nexus 2k, routes out over fiber to the far end CISCO xxxx, and into a IP MUX 24 connected to the option 11's. We recently acquired RAD Care support and have had them go through our configs, which they say are set up correctly. However, the problem continues to happen. Not sure what changed in the environment but obviously something did and it wasn't on our end. We keep working with the network team but they assure us that they have not changed anything on the router. However, they did bring a remote site up on the fiber about the time the issue started and assigned new IP's. I guess I'm curious if anyone out there is doing something similar and if so, what does your configuration look like.

If all 6 spans drop at the same time you have a Fiber problem

Are you talking fiber on the 1000 or the network? There have been occasions that only 1 or 2 fiber spans drop. And the spans that drop vary. Also, the data stays connected so I would think that would eliminate the fiber network.

If your sur the DATA side is stay up that would place the trouble else where, but be sure the DaTA is stay up remember you can loose the data and not really no it because the most of the time everything will rest itself

Yeah the logs indicate everything is fine on the data side. I'm thinking it's got to be a setting on the Nexus.

Data guys think not tho. You know how that goes!

Sounds like a bandwidth issue. Are they checking just for up time, or bandwidth availability too? Would be nice if they could compare before and after the new site came up.

Well for what it's worth, it was a VLAN issue which is what was I suspected right after it started to happen.
