Spammassasin and spanass-milter

Ho I have installed spamassin and spaass-milter and they have installed ok

I then start spam assassin spamd -d
and set up the milter
spamass-milter -p /var/run/spamass.sock -f -b spambucket@ourdomain.com

edit my sendmail.mc file to add the following line (this is all one line):

INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(`spamassassin', `S=local:/var/run/spamass.sock, F=,T=C:15m;S:4m;R:4m;E:10m')

I recreat my sendmail
m4 sendmail.mc > sendmail.cf

but sendmail fails to start with a genral error

Starting sendmail: 451 4.0.0 /etc/mail/sendmail.cf: line 1684: Xspamassassin: local socket name /var/run/spamass.sock unsafe: World writable directory

spamass.sock is in that directory so I do no understand what is wrong

look at the permissions on that dir, I'm guessing it's either 777 or 666
