Hi !
I run an exchange 2003 site with 3 servers. 1 frontend and 2 backend servers. I have tried to add DNSBL lookup using spamhaus.org lists (tried sbl, xbl and sbl-xbl lists).
when i test the setup using the method described on the spamhaus.org site i get the testmail delivered (not good).
I then tried to ping the sbl.spamhaus.org but the server just returns "unknown host sbl.spamhaus.org". I then tried to telnet to the server using port 53, but still no connection. I have configured and tested the DNS servers, they work. I have tried the same from 3 different machines using 3 different ISP's.
Does anyone know if the spamhaus lists are down ? Do you know if a telent to port 53 normaly would respond ? Can any of you guys ping or telnet any of the spamhaus lists ?

Why make things difficult, when it is possible to make them cryptic and totally illogic, with just a little more effort.
