spam monitoring - want to log all programs that call sendmail

Hi all,

How would you go about doing this?

Is there anything internal to sendmail or a plugin that would log what script called it?

Scripts to watch processes? Kernel level?

This is in an effort to monitor spam sources and insecure apps on servers.
