It appears the sites listed in spam blocker are not working anymore. Does anyone out there know any new spam monitoring sites to put in there?

Hi mate,

Not tried it but the following looks ok.

I'm not too keen on adding this as I had enough trouble a few weeks ago with everything getting marked as spam.

Hope this helps

Copy the past below into your SPAMBLCK.DAT in the \MDAEMON\APP directory.

---------------------

relaywatcher.n13mbl.com, mail from $IP$ refused (RelayWatcher)
opm.blitzed.org, mail from $IP$ refused (blitzed)
relays.ordb.org, mail from $IP$ refused, see bl.spamcop.net, mail from $IP$ refused, see ------------------------

This are all very accurate and are the most popular with those BEta testing the newer versions

Hi mate,

Personal experience but I do not trust relays.ordb.org at all, they listed one of my mail servers a few weeks ago for no genuine reason.

The server that they tried to send mail to had a catch all alias setup on it for any domain, it was a backup mail server, which could only send mail to the main mail server, nothing else.

Because the mail server accepted the message, they listed it in their database. This happened even though when the mail was sent to the main server it rejected it and deleted it.

A list like this should only list a server if the mail they try to send arrives back at their servers, there is no other reliable way to test for an open relay.

Hope this helps

Wullie
