HI,
Hope this is the right place to post.
Over the last couple of weeks we have been getting stacks of rejected email notices marked as being rejected because they are spam.
I have had a look at the headers and they are definitely not coming from out server so I know we are not sending them because of a virus. I can only presume thet someone else had contracted a virus an have us in their address book which is being used to send out this spam with phoney email names (eg. ghetdgj@domain.com which is obviously not a real address).
My question is is there any way to stop these messages? I know it's probably not possible but thought I'd ask anyway.
We have our own spam filters turned off and a black hole email address setup that catches all the email we recieve at non existant email addresses and then delivered to me. This is important as we do get genuine emails that have been sent to a wrong address, it's very irritating to have to go through all this rubbish to check we are not missing any genuine mails.
Thanks,
Richard
