spacing in group

I am using "groups" in my report and I display all the information in the group section and nothing in the "details"section. I see a white space in between the records (because of the group separation)I did a "hide" for all the groups- headers except the one group which shows me information, all group footers, details section still the white space doesnt go away..
pl. suggest a solution

Which version of Crystal? And what are you trying to do?

Hide should suppress completely. You sound as if you are tyring to do a 'Suppress', which does work, at least in Crystal 8.5

Post the logic you are using for suppression, and say what it is supposed to do. Maybe someone can help from there.

Please also say which sections are causing the 'white space'. In Crystal 8.5, this will be shown in the left-hand margin on your preview.

Each time a particular report runs I want to have a counter to be displayed like 1001 1002 etc..can we do that??I am using CR 8. Thanks in advance

Better make it a new post. Also I don't think so, unless you can update the database, which I can't advise on.
