Spacing between fields and text on report

Hi - I have a report that I am setting up to use as a template - A form will determine what record displays on the report.

My most recent problem is regarding spacing on the report - I have something like this:

...."You have selected a" & [product] & "plan. "

The problem is the spacing between the [product] and the word plan - How do I reduce the size of the field product?

I'm not sure if this is the most efficient solution or not, but I've encountered the problem before and solved it by placing the entire sentence and/or paragraph in a textbox. The recordsource would be:

= "You have selected a " & [product] & " plan."

Hi Maq - That is exactly what I am doing and the space for [product] is hogging too much space - So my outcome looks like this:

You have selected a PPO plan

Any other ideas? Thanks for your help!!!

Oh, I see. It sounds like the data in your table needs to be trimmed.

In your table is the data &quot;PPO&quot; or &quot;PPO &quot;? It could be that the process which is loading data into the table is sticking spaces onto the end of it. This happens a lot with fixed width file imports.

If for some reason you need to keep the spaces in the table then just change your report field to:

= &quot;You have selected a &quot; & Trim([product]) & &quot; plan.&quot;

That is exactly what I was looking for - I was looking in help for a function but I guess I did not look enough - Thanks very much for taking the time and helping me!!!!!!
