Spaces Getting Truncated with Mail Merge

I have created a Query to pull the appropriate information from my DB (Access 97) that includes some fields that have preceeding spaces and / or trailing spaces. (ie: " and &quot. When I merge the information into Word 97 it truncates out my preceding/trailing spaces. Any ideas on how to get Word to leave my spaces alone?
