spaces at end of item

Hi all,

How to get a text item content including the ending spaces?

Eg: the user types 'Hello ' (with 3 spaces)

When I use lengthblock.item), I get 5 and not 8.

I tried all the :system.cursor_value... around and found nothing.

So does someone knows how to get the full content of the item?

This is a forms 'feature' - text items will always remove trailing spaces.

The only way I have found around this is to use a combo list item. It has the disadvantage of being messy but the advantage that, with the right programming, you can maintain a list of 'previously entered' values should you need them.
