Hi, trying to access a system using console cable, i´m about to do a ip address change.

but, the space, space, space, wont work.

any one with any idée how to do? any other way to change the ip? i cant use the web interface because the system is mxe and the pbx has two different ip adress in it.

Get a new serial cable. Obviously the transmit side is broken.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Yes. looks like it

is it any special cable? I have tested 2 different, the both acts the same, i recive the print out on my screen, but no keyboard commands works? now i try another pc, but i know that the space key is ok at least in notepad.

Now i have a working cable. Can I by this interface change the IP adress of the Layer 2 switch of a MXE?

If this is an MXE controller then RTC and L2 switch IP can be done via web interface.

Try a diff terminal program, I had a bugger of time doing the space thing with hyperterminal, but as soon as i switched to secureCRT bam in like Flynn. No idea why

You can change the RTC address address via the serial cable. You can change the E2T address via Telnet but not sure other then GUI how to change the L2 Switch IP address.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.
