I have Office 07 and am having a heck of a time finding out how to turn off the space characters that are showing up in my email. I probably don't have the proper term but it is showing a backwards "p" when I hit the enter key and a dot in between words when I hit the spacebar. I have no idea how it got turned on but I would like to find out how to turn it off!

I read somewhere that it was under the "Format Text" tab in a new mail message but I clicked on everything and wasn't able to find out where to fix it.

Thanks for your help!

Create a new message, then while in that message click: tools - options, look at the View tab, there are check boxes for 'Formatting'... are any of these checked?

apologies... that works in 2003...

In 2007... create new message, the click the 'Format Text'
tab and click on the button that looks like your "backwards" p.

Thanks for your help! I guess I wasn't expecting that to be there and skimmned right over it. Much appreciated!

no worries, happy to help... nothing is where you expect it to be in Office2007
