Space between elements

I have a nice looking layout I made in CSS but it's not working because the different HTML elements are vertically too far apart. Is there anyway I can put them right next to eachother without overlapping?

There are 4 files: index.html, navbar.html, main.html, layout.css - Which one do you want to see the code of?

Since it's flat HTML we can see the code for each directly from the site

Thought so, but I can't get CSS from most sites and others my content advisor wouldn't let me take.

How about putting each element in a different table row. You would also need to specify the margin-bottom attribute of your Hx elements to 0px.
