Nov 25, 2002 #2 DSMARWAY Technical User Jun 25, 2002 640 GB hi, how are you backing up your data ? what type of DDS tape drive have you got ? what filesystems are you backing up ? if you used a block size to back up your data you can use the dd command and bs=(block size ) to determine how man blocks have benn written to tape e.g. if block size is 64k dd if=/dev/rmt/0m? of=/dev/null bs=64k Upvote 0 Downvote
