Hi,
We've got a SQL 2000 db with several stored procedures that use the sp_OA automation stored procedures to call a VB6 dll that then calls a .Net dll.
This all works fine in 2000, but we can't get it to work in 2005. The sp_OA works fine when creating the instance of the VB6 com object, but when the VB6 object tries to create an instance of the .Net object, it fails. I found this article:
It is specifically talking about 97 and 2000, but it also mentions that in later versions, calling CLR code with sp_OA or extended procs won't be supported.
Anyone know anything about this?
