Had Win2000 Pro machine. Installed SP3 which includes sp1&2. At install time chose to archive files. Then downloaded IE 6. Then installed SP4 without archiving. Big problem. Rebooted, everything is out of resources. Add printers shows no printers with message out of resources. Check event messages, shows errors messages but machine won't show anything when highlighted. Try to go into network connections shows nothing. Plenty of memory 512 mb, 48 gig hd on c:. Tried safe mode, change virtual memory, no difference. Can't go into add/remove programs, nothing shows. End result, machine that can't do anything. Thanks MS for the patches. A virus check from a maped pc shows no virus on 2000 pro pc. Any ideas?
