SP3 install problems

I downloaded sp3(q248838engl) for exchange 5.5 when I run it the installlation
aborts with the following message."System does not have version number 2650.
Instead the version reported is 2448." Could you please tell me if this is
talking about my version of exchange or if I'm trying to load the wrong SP. Also
what do I need to do to get around this. I need to upgrade so my virus software
will work with exchange.

I think you have the wrong download. The exchange server 5.5 sp3 file that I found at Microsoft's website had a file name of SP3_550i.exe. The 2448 build is the build number for SP2. I found the download here a microsofts site
