SP3 Fails

I am trying to upgrade SQL Database components SP3.
But when it prompt me to select the authentication mode to connect to the SQL server, I try to enter the sa password or select the windows authentication, both fails to validate the password, or in windows authentication case, it fails to authenticate my user.
Can one has any solutions to this.

I don't have the solution (yet) but I have the same issue.
When I get the fix, be assured I will post it here

check the version of dbmslpcn.dll - if it is version 9.0 replace it with the one in sp3

I have the same issue. I checked version of dbmslpcn.dll. It's 2000.80.568.0. How do I go on?

Did anyone ever come to a solution for this? We are trying to add SP3 and have tried SQL authentication (sa password blank) and Windows authentication with no luck.
