sp2 stops ie browsing

I have just installed xp sp2. All went suprisngly smoothly until I can`t connect to the web using IE.

I also have opera installed (that works and is what I'm using now) that I do most of my browsing with but also need to use IE every now and again.

I have turned of the xp firewall. I have a wireless network if that makes any difference.

try to see your internet options, if any changes happend in your setting, if this doesnt help, i advice for fresh new installation of IE6

Start, Run, CMD
netsh winsock reset catalog
exit
Reboot and test again.
