Sp2 install problem....

Hi guys

I have a problem installing sp2 on an sbs server 2003, it runs through its initial checks and then comeS up with a dialogue box saying "the files c:\windows|system32\cacls.exe is open or in use by another application" close the program or retry. I can't find any info on this any where. Has anyone else had this problem or know of an answer??

I haven't seen this error before but have you tried something like Process Explorer to see what if anything is holding the file?

Check the permissions on the actual file. It could be that they are corrupted. You can also try renaming the file and try your upgrade again
