We loaded SP1 on our Terminal Server last night.

Today when we try to access our ERP's help menu from the Terminal Server it brings up the standard "page cannot be displayed and check your options Etc."

If I go to the ERP server it displays.
If the LOCAL users of the ERP that do not go through Terminal server use help it works.

I have narrowed it down to just the terminal server and with the install of SP1 I cannot help but think that is the cause.

SP1 does have a few changes to IE so I went into to IE and tried to lower security Etc. but it did not help.

ANY IDEAS??

One thought, have you tried to add the ERP server site ( to the 'Trusted Sites' list under Security? Also, SP1 automatically implements and turns on the Firewall until Automatic Updates are turned on. Check that the firewall is not enabled (under Control panel now I believe).

Hope this helps.

The firewall is not enabled on 2003 because the ICS is not configured.

It is not a web server so I do not know how to add the server to trusted sites.

It is a CHM html based help that will not come up.

The problem is that when we launch our application from the terminal server and then you goto "HELP" then "contents" it is not displayed.

As it is HTML based it comes up with the "page cannot be displayed" IE message and tells me to check my internet options or refresh Etc..

On the 2003 Server, go to Internet Options. Go to Security, select 'trusted sites'. Insert the URL name of the server hosting the help files ( or
Also go to Control Panel, Add/Remove programs. Add/Remove windows components. See if the IE Enhanced security option is checked. If so, uncheck it to remove it.

Most ERP software also requires specific settings for optimal/stable use, check with the ERP help/documentation (on the server) to locate any available information about recommended IE settings.
