This has probably been answered before, but my searches in Tek-Tips haven't yielded any answers. Is it possible to have VFP 9 SP1 & SP2 installed on the same computer? I need to support some versions distributed under SP1 and don't want to update all of the runtimes right now. Can somebody point to some old threads where this was answered or some other sites taht might help? I've put off updating to SP2 because of this. Thanks.

Thanks Tamar, that looks like a great document.

Not only that, you can also run each vfp app with it's dedicated runtime sp version by placing it to the exe instead of a central install. The pdf article also considers the single place in the registry for vfp options. But also only one foxhhelp9.exe can be registered. Fortunately it's not among the parts of the runtime with changes, AFAIK.

And you can but don't need to register vfp9r.dll and vfp9t.dll, because as said you better have the correct sp version in the exe directory.

Bye, Olaf.
