sp to count files inside x number of dir's inside one dir??

Hi all, hope this is the right forum, if not, please redirect me!

I want to be able to count the number of files inside 40 folders in one main dir. Is this possible using a sp?? how?

What version you using? Try looking up xp_dirtree in BOL. You might be able to work it out from there.....
