I just installed a new Soyo Dragon mother board with an AMD 1.33 Thunderbird chip. Running Win98. After loading the motherboard drivers, I get a Primary and Secondary IDE controller problem. (You know, the little exclamation in the device manager) I have removed and reloaded the drivers with the same result. I used the updated drivers from Soyo with the same result. My properties performance says: "Compatability-mode paging reduces overall performance. and Manster boot record modified see help"...blah blah blah Apparently the drives are running in DOS Mode compatability. It will not recognize the zipdrive. The performance is suffering.
This is a brand new system with a new 40 gig hdd. any insight would be grateful, Soyo has yet to respond to the issue.
Thanks in advance,
