Hey everyone. I generally can figure out anything when it comes to hardware, but I finally got something that has me just beat.
Here are the details:
Soyo 7VCA-E Motherboard (Latest BIOS installed when purchased)
Celeron 433 PGA370
128MB PC100 DIMM
250Watt PS
The rest of the hardware is pretty irrelevant as I have tried all combos and always have the same issue. Let me also state that I am not trying to overclockk or do anything extra.
Problem:
Today I turn the PC on, it boots up and I use it for hours or even days without turning it off and it works like a champ!
BUT!
I have tried 3 power supplies (all perfectly working ones) that I have pulled from my other running computers (I have a 13 PC LAN in my basement that I maintain for various tasks and such). I have tried a multitude of memory DIMM's including PC66, PC100, PC133. I have switched out video card's, NIC card's, and even stripped the system down to just video card, memory and CPU and still the same result. I have reflashed the BIOS too with the version it has, and the version previous to the current.
Lastly, I had a problem with this motherboard (not like what I have stated above) and I sent it back to SOYO and this is a brand new motherboard that is doing this.
Anyone have any suggestions? I sure hope someone can think of something I haven't.
