SourceSafe so slow in general

Hello.

My SourceSafe (from VSS6) works incredibly slow now.
I'm not sure what I could have installed which would affect it. Traversing directories and checking out files takes over 30 seconds to refresh.

My other teammates do not experience this problem.

Is there anything I can do myself?
