NT 4 workstation sp6a, Backup Exec 8. Using HP Colorado 5gb device through parallel cable. Back up job starts at scheduled time, show's active, but "loading media" this can last for days until back up job is aborted by user.
Event viewer shows following message:
The description for event ID (15) in source (tratapi-vrts) could not be found. It contains the following insertions: \device\tape0
Backup Exec log advisesStorage device "HP 1" reported an error on request to write data to media. Error Reported: The device is not ready
Any suggestions ?
