Source not available error

Hi,

We are using Mercator version 6.7.1.In file based maps, Currently I am facing an issue with error "source not available".The exact error code is

"Return Code: 12 - Source not available"

But the file is available in the particular folder.

It does not happen for 1 or 2 files. It happens for plenty
of files. It was working fine before. Recently this issue is
happening.

any pointers in this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

This can occur when there are 2 event server services running. On windows check in the task manager for 2 occurrences of mercntsvns.exe. This can happen when a previous process did not end cleanly. Ensure that the management console is used to pause then stop the compound system and ensure the task disappears from task manager before stopping the service.

Hi,

check in event server setting for source event "on". If it is on turn off event services and turn on then it will work.

How to the files get to the server to trigger? If the file takes more than one second, (the trigger time default) it can trigger two maps and one will fail when the other deletes the files. To fix this, increase the trigger time and add a 2 second delay to the map.
