I am practicing on my web page design and I downloaded a page source from a friend, he used dreamweaver and when I open the file in dreamweaver it has a lock and it will not let me change anything. If I open the code in front page there is no problem. Does anybody have an idead of what is the problem??

I imagine that Dreamweaver uses comments or other markup to lock sections of files from being edited (for templating, etc).

I'd strip all comments, then try reloading the file.

If you still need help, I'd take this to the Dreamweaver forum.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Is it a template file like .DWT?
