Sound

Hi Can some one help, I am building a text game, and would like to perhaps grap some sound on-line and play it in the back ground, but through my speakers, not in the daft pc speaker thing, I aint sure what sound card I have, nor am I hot with code, so I hope ( if possible ) keep it simple please...

Without doubt my card ain't a SoundBlaster Card, did d/load the actual program to allow sound through the speakers, it didn't work.

Most of the qb libraries are for soundblaster and don't work in windows XP/2k. In your case you need a slave windows program interfacing with windows sound API and a library to call it from QB.
