sound

Hi

i encountered a strange problem.
i was previously using redhat7/kde and everything was working fine(including sound)

now i reinstalled redhat7/gnome and the problem is, my sound dun work no more.
sndconfig detected my soundcard but the sound just dun play.
im using s3 soundcard

can anyone help?

Try Linux(client/desktop), as sound is not necessary on servers...
I had the same problem and fixed it with alsaconf, which does everything you do not want to know. regards
