My dual boot W2K has great sound on the windoze side, but almost imperceptible sound on the linux side, when playing an instructional cd. Consulting the red hat 7.2 bible I ran the aumix program to increase the volume, and saved my settings, but on reboot they showed as the previous settings. However, when I enter "load" for the settings in aumix, I see the settings I made. I am a very newbie.
