Hi all again,

I have a dell latop with tv out. It came with an adapter that connects into the laptop in the s-video connecton. This adapter has three parts to it: a yellow video connection, a black audio, and a s-video connection. I do not use the s-video for my tv becuase i didnt have a cord. I have a cord that had a yellow and black connector that could connect into the adapter that came with the laptop into the tv. The video part works fine, but the audio does not come from the tv. The tv just as a white and a red audio slot, no black. I tried on multiple tv's but it is still the same situation: no sound from the tv. Any solutions would be GREATLY appreciated. THX TO ALL! ^^b

It sounds like that's a non-standard connector for audio. Are you sure it's audio and not composite video?

Anyway, if I were you I'd get a separate cable for the audio as they're very cheap and widely available on the high street. I'd get one with a pair of phono plugs on one end (they're about as thick as your finger and connect to the audio inputs on your TV) and a single headphone jack on the other end. Just connect the phono end to your TV and the other end to the headphone socket of your laptop.
